Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs – The Trilogy

Peregrine1

Series Rating: 4/5 Stars

Is it good?

I’m answering this question first because it’s hard to describe a trilogy without including one or two tiny spoilers. So, just in case, you want to stop reading before I describe book 2, you should know that this whole series was GREAT. I really enjoyed each and every book. They were magical and mysterious, exciting and engaging. I don’t have a good reason for not giving it 5/5 stars, but I just had a few small complaints. The romance seemed unnecessary and made me slightly uncomfortable given the history of the characters, and the children had A LOT of good luck… almost too much.

Also, the monsters in this book are very creepy and Halloween season is not a bad time to read this book. Keep in mind that the intended audience was young adult; you probably won’t get any nightmares.

What is it about?
