Turbo Twenty-Three by Janet Evanovich

Audiobook Narrated by Lorelei King

Mystery (Series #23)

3/5 Bounties

What is it about?

All Stephanie Plum novels involve the same formula. Stephanie is a bonds enforcement officer, but she’s not good at her job. In the course of trying to catch a “skip” she stumbles upon a dead body. Then she gets roped into trying to solve the mystery. Someone tries to kill her, she blows up a car, and the murderer is caught.

This is the same story, but in this book it involves a lot of ice-cream.

Is it good?

It is exactly what you expect from Stephanie Plum. These books stick to the formula, but they can be amusing. I think I liked this one a little less simply because I listened to the audiobook version. No offense to Lorelei King, but she does NOT sound like she enjoys reading these books, which makes it hard for the listener to enjoy.

    1. They are amusing and quick to read. If you’re in a mild reading slump, this might be the thing to get you out! That’s usually why I end up reading them… for something light hearted.
