Birthday Book Haul

My birthday was this month! Sometimes I wonder if I am getting too old to love young adult fantasy/sci-fi books as much as I do, but we can’t help who we are and what we like.

I never let a good holiday go by without asking for books, so here is what I got this month:

From NetGalley:

Toil & Trouble – a book of short stories about witches

Shield Breaker by Scott Beckman – dystopian with magic

From my husband:

Red Sister by Mark Lawrence

The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller

From myself with my brother’s money:

Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir

The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch

Thunderhead by Neal Shusterman

Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik via Book of the Month

These books are all so beautiful and exciting that I find myself completely overwhelmed. (Also, I still haven’t even finished the books I got for Christmas and Valentines Day….)

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed by your TBR or bookshelf?
