Five Quotes Friday

Five Quotes Friday

I read too slow to come up with 5 new quotes every week, but I brainstormed for a long time for the great title of “Five Quotes Friday”. Here are some of my favorite word combinations from the things I have been reading lately. Feel free to share your own favorites in the comments or your own blog.

Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare

“One must always be careful of books, and what is inside them, for words have the power to change us.”

“Whatever you are physically, male or female, strong or weak, ill or healthy – all those things matter less than what your heart contains. If you have the soul of a warrior, you are a warrior.”

Toil & Trouble by Various

“Of course it won’t! Tea doesn’t fix anything. It’s just comfort you can hold.”

“If witchcraft is the voice of women rising free and powerful (to change the world, make it ours on our feet instead of on our knees) then I wish to be a witch more than anything.”

Those Left Behind by Joss Whedon (review forthcoming)

“Out here, people struggled to get by with the most basic technologies; a ship would bring you work, a gun would help you keep it. A captain’s goal was simple: find a crew, find a job, keep flying”
