Fantasy Series (1 of 4)

4/5

Audiobook narrated by Nicholas Guy Smith

You guys know that I love Nicholas Guy Smith’s voice. He is such a great narrator. He was amazing in The Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles, and he was amazing in this.

What is it about?

The story starts out about a young Orphan named Pug who becomes the apprentice of the local magician. The story expands when an alien race opens a rift and invades this medieval, magical, planet.

Was it good?

This book is an epic fantasy story. It spans over a decade and follows at least 3 main characters. Even with all the aliens and magic, the story and the people felt real. It felt like I was right there, in the line of battle with them. This book has everything: action, adventure, romance, humor.

I would highly recommend this book if you have the time. The audiobook was over 17 hours and it took me nearly 2 months to get through, but I am so glad I gave this a try.
