My mom has been super kind and generous and helpful. I am very grateful for all the money her and her husband are saving us by letting us leech off of them. However, it’s a bit crowded and we are lacking a routine. Everyone misses Seattle to some degree, and my two year old has been suffering the most. He’s going through a very strong “I want my mommy” phase. It’s both heartbreaking and frustrating.
Also, I have cold.
Those are all my excuses as to why I’ve been reading the same book for over a week and have no new reviews to share.
Anywho, below are details on the 10 most recent books I added to my TBR which has a total of 184 books on it.
- Sunshine by Robert McKinley – Paranoramal Vampire. Girl is dinner for vampire, but he doesn’t eat her and ends up needing her help to survive. 3.85 on Goodreads and the cover is really pretty.
Rick & Morty vs Dungeons and Dragons by Patrick Rothfuss. You had me at Patrick Rothfuss. Also, this is a show I’ve previously watched my husband and found amusing.
The Farm by Joanne Ramos – This got added when I signed up for the Goodreads give away, which I lost. It’s about a girl that agrees to sell her baby and then changes her mind. I’m not 100% sure I still want to read it, but I will leave it for now.
Dry Hard by Nick Spalding – This was another goodreads give away that I lost, but the story sounds entertaining and funny. It’s about a married couple who have been drinking together so long they forgot how to love each other and have fun without alcohol… so they quit drinking together.
A Curse so Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer – A retelling of Beauty and the Beast recommended to fans of Marissa Meyer. Yes, please!
The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov – This is “an essential classic of Russian literature” according to the goodreads description. And according to the Orangutang Librarian it was “Masterful” and after reading that glowing review I could not resist adding it to my list.
The Knight of the Seven Kingdoms by George RR Martin – There was a slick deals on this collection of stories from before GoT, so I bought it.
Holy Sister by Mark Lawrence – Now I’m getting ahead of myself, but I know I will love book 2 and book 3!
Someday we Will Fly by Rachel DeWoskin – WW2 and Jewish….BUT this time the story takes place in Shanghai!
