Holy Cow. This book was AMAZING. Through and through the writing was beautiful, the story was fascinating, the characters were relatable, the world was wondrous. There was action, adventure, romance, and even a large explosion. This book has it all but it was all written in a way that made it into a truly beautiful story.

The story follows a young man named Lazlo Strange. Lazlo was an orphan raised by monks. Only one of the monks told stories and one story in particular stuck in Lazlo’s mind. The story of ……. of…… what the hell? I knew the name a minute ago, and now all I can think of is “Weep”.

Something stole the name of the lost city from every book and mind in the world. A city that Lazlo is forevermore obsessed with and would do anything to see.

And honestly? You need to see this city, too. The way that Lazlo imagines it is breathtaking, Cakes on every windowsill, centaurs kissing humans, and wing sellers coming to town with wings of every type for sale.

I really really really loved this book and I want to talk about it more but I definitely do NOT want to spoil it for anyone who has yet to read it.

I think everyone should read this book.

Have YOU read it?
