My kids are “afraid” of thunderstorms and it helps them to about what’s happening outside. The Berenstain Bear book only has 1-2 pages on rain and one one thunderstorms but it was requested several times over the last few days.
Books that transport you far away from the rain:
It could be worse, you could be stuck in a frozen land of ice and snow…
Things have been busy here, but we are all alive and well!
We are about 80% moved in – the movers didn’t bring a big enough truck to empty out our storage units so they are going to finish up next Sunday. That was the only frustrating part to last Saturday. The best part was that almost everyone remembered it was my birthday. Everyone except for Little Man, but I forgive him because he doesn’t know what birthdays are.
The movers are here packing now. I’m waiting for the guy to finish in the kitchen so I can try to make the chicken quesadilla’s from memory. He already packed the cook book, but at least I have the frying pan.
There was a bit of a scare this morning when they came, because there are “NO PARKING” signs everywhere for tomorrow. The bossman said “that’s too bad” or something to that affect. I asked I’m if they wanted to load everything and move it today, and he said “no, I have plans this afternoon”. I asked him what we were supposed to do and he said he didn’t know.
